Gallery Grisk derives from the creative community Grisk, founded by artist Peter Birk. His idea for Grisk was to start a place where creativity could flourish and where any expression of creativity was welcome. This idea was the foundation for opening the doors for contemporary art and street art at Gallery Grisk. With this burning desire to open the doors for more innovative art Peter leased Gallery Grisk to Mads Fredberg and his partner Anders Poulsen.
The mission for Gallery Grisk is to bring art and its audience closer together. Art must be available to everyone and break its chains to the establishment. Gallery Grisk wants to change the definition of art and foster respect for the artist’s ability to make the audience wonder and create dialogue.
